On the scheduled day, we were expecting the cleaning crew to arrive at 9 am. However, only one person showed up at that time—not to clean, but simply to ask for the apartment keys, claiming the crew was working at another location and would come around 11 am. Since we were still at the apartment, we agreed they could come at 11 am. But even by 11 or 12, no one had arrived. We had to call the management to figure out what was happening.
Finally, someone showed up at 1 pm—not a crew, but a single person who applied some product for a kalk problem. The actual cleaning team only arrived at 3 pm and began cleaning at that time. They worked until 10 pm but failed to finish the job. The floors were still dirty, the windows were filthy, and it was honestly hard to understand what they had spent seven hours doing.
The next morning, they promised to return early, between 8 and 9 am, to complete the cleaning before the 1 pm handover. But again, by 11 am, no one had shown up. More phone calls to their management were required. By 1 pm, when the management company, new tenant, and I arrived at the apartment, I was thoroughly disappointed yet again.
The windows were still dirty, the shower door was grimy, and the blinds hadn’t been cleaned. If I were the new tenant, I wouldn’t have accepted the apartment in that condition. Any concerns raised were dismissed with excuses about kalk problems, hard water in Switzerland, or not able to reach the parts of the windows so on.
Even the person from the rental agency company, who initially asked them to clean a few areas, eventually gave up. The new tenant, who was incredibly kind, accepted the apartment as it was.
Afterward, the cleaners immediately demanded payment as if they had done a stellar job. To add insult to injury, they even tried to charge me more than the original invoice. I had to call their management yet again to correct the invoice—nearly 1,000 CHF, essentially wasted.
This entire ordeal was unbelievably stressful, especially as it came right before an international move. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company’s cleaning service. If I could go back, I would never have chosen them.Lire la suite
