There were multiple issues:
- During the assessment I was told that disposal would have a fixed fee + some price per cubic meter, and the employee specifically said that it would be 2 at most 3 cubic meters because (citing that disassembled furniture does not take much volume). On the day of the move i was informed that because it was heavy they count 10 cubic meters, but will lower it to 8. After some discussion they lowered it to 7. In my opinion they blatantly lied in the assessment. If I would have been given a more reasonable figure from the beginning I would not complain.
- Their car broke down during the move. I had to spend at least an hour helping them jump start, taking the team leader to Jumbo etc. While things happened, the leader let it slip that has happened before, which makes me think their cars have problems.
- During the assessment I was told someone on the team would speak English. No one did, and that lead to misunderstandings, like leaving some things in the old apartment.
- While I was happy with the cleaning, the communication with the person handling cleanings was bad. They told me they would clean on a specific day, and then I asked if I can go see it later that day, they did not respond. They did eventually clean, but a different day than they initially said (and I was really annoyed with the handler guy not answering his whatsapp when I specifically said I was going to go there to check their work).
I spoke about all of these with the owners and they came up with no resolution. I did not push it because I did not want to have to look for a different cleaning company, but the service was all around disappointing.
I should also say that the good thing is that the movers themselves were quite efficient, and even with the car breaking down, they finished in a reasonable time.Read more
