I hired this company for a move in Basel based on the recommendation from your site. The initial quote was for the move only, with a cost cap.
On the day of the move, I was not fully ready. I appreciated that the team was willing to help with extra packing, and I was prepared to pay for additional hours, as that felt fair.
However, while the packing was fast, it was not careful or professional. Items were handled roughly, and some were not protected properly. For example, my paintings were transported only with blankets rather than proper packing.
The main problems started when I was strongly encouraged to add an additional disposal service for items I was not taking. It was presented as a helpful and cost effective option, so I agreed and trusted they were prepared to deliver it smoothly. In my experience, the added scope was not planned well and led to delays, multiple trips, and a chaotic process.
The final cost ended up much higher than the original move quote. I was al
so uncomfortable with how payment was handled, with strong pressure late at night to pay immediately.
Practical advice to others: confirm in writing what is included and excluded, agree pricing for any extras before work starts, and be very cautious about changing the scope on the day. In my case, the total cost ended up around 3.5 times my original budget, and the company attributed this to the scope change.
