From Switzerland to Italy

What were your reasons for moving? What was the experience like?

I was moving to Italy for a professional reason. Even if I’m Italian I had no idea how it works to move back home. TS Logistics, my chosen moving company, was very helpful. They supported me with all the paperwork and gave me directions on how to proceed with my car. The guys who did the moving were really nice and efficient.

They were suppose to bring everything on Tuesday morning. But as they arrived early, they decided to unload the truck on Monday evening while finishing super late but without rushing. There were no troubles with going trough customs with my car and getting the paperwork.

What made you choose this mover? Did you do any research?

The lady who came to visit our place before moving has been the only one that asked a lot of questions and could also answer all of them without hesitation. She knew everything was correct with the price and didn’t try to oversell us stuff.

She took the time to sit down with us and explain us all the steps: how to proceed with the Italian Embassy, how to proceed with the car, etc. Paperwork was done on time and it took me 10 minutes to go through custom with my car, no issues at all. Movers were friendly and super efficient

Take us through your moving day – did everything go as planned? What worked and what didn’t?

Our moving day was split between two days upon our request. The mover came and loaded all our stuff on the Friday so we could have time to clean our apartment, give it back and move to Italy.

Then they were supposed to travel on Monday and unload on Tuesday. Yet, they called us on Monday evening saying they were here and wanted to do it now, not waiting for Tuesday. They unloaded everything until late night at 35 degrees Celsius. The moving company was really committed and efficient, there is nothing to complain.

Based on your experience, what are your top tips you’d like to share to help others for their own moves?

Pack the boxes lightly and don’t stuff them.

✅ Label the moving boxes them with what is inside. When the mover unloads the truck, it is easy to know what goes where.

✅ Before unloading be clear with where you want your furniture to go. This way the moving company doesn’t spend time going around and can put the things straight where it’s needed.

✅ Do not hesitate to ask the mover questions, even if they might seem stupid. At least you then know the procedure. Moving is stressful, so avoiding pending questions helps a lot
