I hired Reloswiss for an international move from Switzerland to Egypt. While the Swiss side was handled decently, everything fell apart once the shipment reached Cairo.
Their partner in Egypt demanded EGP 120,000 in advance, without any detailed breakdown. In reality, the actual customs charges were under EGP 18,000, as I later discovered when I handled the entire clearance and delivery myself. I had to repay everything: customs fees, airport storage penalties, truck rental, and labor — despite having already paid over CHF 7,000 for a full door-to-door service.
Reloswiss completely refused to take responsibility, claiming I didn’t cooperate and was “rude” to their Egyptian partner. According to them, everything is my fault because I questioned the EGP 120,000 and refused to pay blindly. They now say the service failed because of me, not them.
In other words, they expect you to obey blindly, even when it’s clear you’re being manipulated. And if you don’t, they’ll wash their hands and leave you with double the cost.
To make things worse, they mishandled my legal documents, pretending an error in my name on the customs forms, which nearly blocked the release of my shipment. This “mistake” was a clear pretext used to create fake obstacles and justify illegitimate charges — a classic extortion tactic.
Here’s what really happened:
The shipment arrived at Cairo International Airport on July 28. However, their partner in Cairo delayed the clearance until Saturday, August 2 — a public holiday when most governmental offices are understaffed or closed. As a result, I had no choice but to personally take over on Sunday, August 3, which is the start of the work week in Egypt. Had the shipment been released on July 29, 30 or 31, this unnecessary delay could have been avoided.
Because of this, I incurred over EGP 19,000 in airport storage fees, which I should never have had to pay. These charges were entirely due to their negligence and unjustified inaction.
Despite six email warnings I sent on the day of the incident, and formal complaints filed to consumer and international moving federations (FRC, IAM, FIATA), Reloswiss continues to ignore the facts and refuses any form of compensation.
I asked for a modest 25% refund (CHF 1,700), which they flatly rejected — even though the service at destination was never rendered. They blame me to protect their partner and avoid any reimbursement.
As of now, legal proceedings have been initiated in Switzerland for breach of contract, bad faith, and professional negligence.
Reloswiss gave me zero support. They let their partner demand illegal payments, refused to act when things went wrong, and left me to pay everything again at destination.
They may look professional on the outside, but once they have your money, you’re on your own.

But that was it.
The detailed planning revealed the first weaknesses. The communication with the subcontractor in the target country was quickly discontinued and outsourced.
But, the worst was the handling on site. This subcontractor in Switzerland was in no way able to fulfill the administrative requirements for the embassy. It was invited frantically without any consideration.
RELOSWISS did not take any responsibility for the procedures of the invitation.
We had to coordinate everything ourselves. In the end, my wife and I spent two full working days each supervising the work.wn. ubd meeting the administrative requirements.
The whole loading of furniture ubd goods was a chaos. RELOSWISS was always available but not in the lead.
The packaging was not fit for overseas or our goods otherwise got wet.
Very good, however, was the coordination of the logistics chain by RELOSWISS.
The subcontractor in the recipient country did a decent job. But
the additional costs were far above the forecast and once again Reloswiss did not feel responsible to clarify things with the supplier in the interest of the customer.Scopri di più
