Note: my family and I have moved countries several times and have already had experiences with many moving companies. None of our experiences has been half as bad as the one with [name removed by Sirelo], be it in terms of the move itself or in terms of communication/customer service.
After considering several moving companies, we picked [name removed by Sirelo] because they had good reviews (according to Sirelo) and because the delivery date was sooner than the others. It was very important to us that we receive our goods in the beginning of July (and we made that clear to [name removed by Sirelo] before signing the contract)
[name removed by Sirelo] came to pickup the furniture/boxes in Zurich (note: our move was unusual in terms of the furniture we had, but I had sent picture and measurements well in advance) on the agreed day/time and packed everything in a professional manner.
Then, instead of delivering the week after as per the contract and agreement, they went silent.
I had to reach out to them several times, the only answer I got was that it was essentially my fault for telling them one of the items could be unmounted where it could not - according to them (note: there is a tutorial on youtube on how to unmount! Also: which moving company does not come to check out things before the move, only to accuse the client of not making the job they should have done?!).
After contacting them several times, and feeling on many occasions that they did not care (I made the mistake of paying everything up front), they finally gave us a date.
When they showed up, they only had about half of what we were expecting. The company that actually delivered to our door was the company BP-Sped, who had sent us a cheaper offer compared to [name removed by Sirelo] but whom we had not picked for our move - we clearly should have.
When we said things were missing the movers did not know as they had been subcontracted by [name removed by Sirelo]. When I called my contact in Switzerland she was as usual not very interested in my problems nor in solving them. Again for days we did not get any news.
When we finally did, the mover was practically at our door for the delivery, no heads up. We managed to be home for the delivery, and there again something was missing.
For days [name removed by Sirelo] tried to find the item, not being sure of where it was (!!!!). They finally found it and sent it over. No word of excuse, nothing. They also killed our two plants, replaced them with another set/kind of plants without consulting us.
Conclusion:
- delivery happened in three times instead of 1
- we did not get our things on the first week of July as agreed/paid for but on 29.07, respectively 4.8 and 14.8
- our plants got killed
- we got kept in the dark with very little communication, making it very hard for us to trust and relax
I sent a complaint email last month after the move was over and never got an answer. I was very disappointed at this move, the price was not cheap, close to 1'000CHF more expensive than the cheaper option (a solid moving company but that could not deliver in July - in the end [name removed by Sirelo] did not either), and the quality of the [name removed by Sirelo] move was very bad, forcing me to spend a lot of energy and time on this instead of just trusting and relaxing. I did not at any point after the pickup feel I was dealing with professionals (they were very responsive for preparing the offer and professional at the pickup).
